My son, age 20, is home from college and is noticeably unmotivated, unfocused and unhappy with himself. He goes through the motions of living day to day, but has no passion or direction in his life. He was weaned off Effexor XL last year and did fairly well in school; lost the weight he had put on and seemed, we thought, to be doing well. He has always had a problem with focusing; but now he seems to have more of an issue with what he calls being "self-conscious". To the point that he is avoiding situations that take him out of his comfort zone. My psychiatrist suggested Wellbutrin. I’ve seen other posts where people mentioned a combination of a stimulant (Adderall) with Wellbutrin. Any ideas?
