I have had a number of conditions over the past few years that have gotten to the point now of being almost disabling. I’ve had terrible insomnia, a lot of joint and nerve pain, cramping of muscles, headaches, recurrent sore throat and swollen glands, and depression. At my doctor’s visit the other day, she ordered a lot of tests, and told me it very much sounded like chronic fatigue syndrome. I’m not that familiar with it yet, and don’t really want to delve into too much information until I have a diagnosis, but I do want to know about my latest symptom. I experience extreme fatigue from very simple self-care tasks, like brushing my teeth or hair. Ieven get tired and feel pain in my jaws and throat from chewing my breakfast cereal, or just talking for a few minutes. And I feel so weak when I do these things. I’ve had great difficulty cooking, because I can’t stir well or open bottles and jars. Just typing this question has my wrists and fingers worn out. Is this typical for CFS?
